Harvest Hollow
★★★★☆ 4.1
Harvest Hollow is comfort food. You inherit a small plot, plant things, fix up the place, and get to know a cast of villagers who each have their own little arcs. There's no failure state — you just build the farm at your own pace.
Controls are clean drag-and-drop, and the seasonal cycle gives you reasons to come back. Spring crops differ from autumn ones, festivals roll around, and the fishing minigame is weirdly addictive.
It leans a little slow in the early hours, and some tools unlock later than I'd like. But as a wind-down game before bed, it does exactly what it sets out to do and never asks more of you than you want to give.
What we liked
- Relaxing, no-pressure pace
- Seasonal variety and festivals
- Charming, well-written villagers
